AMAG Symmetry is a security management platform that helps large organizations manage access control, alarm monitoring, and identity across multiple facilities and sites. Its access control depth and multi-site architecture make it a common choice in government, healthcare, education, transportation, and other high-security environments.
RTNConnect integrates Real Time Networks' AssetTracer and KeyTracer systems directly with AMAG Symmetry. Symmetry administrators assign cardholders to asset groups, including keys, items, and key/item groups, using Symmetry access codes. The related cardholder information, credentials, and group assignments are then synchronized with Real Time Networks software.
Changes made in Symmetry are communicated automatically to the connected Real Time Networks systems. New staff receive the correct access rights to the right key or item with no added administration. When a badge holder is terminated and their credentials are revoked in Symmetry, the change is reflected in AssetTracer and KeyTracer, closing potential access loopholes.
Native Symmetry data combined with the alarms and custom events delivered by RTNConnect gives administrators a clear record of who accessed which asset and when. That audit trail supports usage analysis, misuse investigations, and accountability across the organization.
Custom dynamic scripts control which badge holder data is synced and how it is mapped into Real Time Networks systems. Symmetry administrators decide what is shared, in which direction, and under what conditions.
RTNConnect runs as a Windows service in the background. Data syncs can be requested on demand, set to specific intervals, or triggered automatically using event listeners, so the integration fits your existing operational processes.
Events in the Real Time Networks systems, including tamper alerts, overdue assets, and other predefined triggers set during setup, can be pushed to Symmetry as alarms in real time. Combined with native email alerts, administrators monitor both systems from a single interface.
Users can be added or removed collectively by department or job function. Access assignments are made in bulk rather than configured user by user and system by system, which supports multi-site and enterprise deployment.
